The Europa Solar Guardian PV Automatic Disconnect Device – 4 Pole, 2 Strings is designed to provide rapid PV isolation for rooftop solar installations in residential, commercial and industrial applications. Built for two-string systems, this 4 pole disconnect device helps protect photovoltaic installations in emergency situations, including fire events, by enabling fast disconnection of the PV circuits.

The Solar Guardian range supports string voltages from 300 to 1500Vdc and is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure, making it suitable for demanding outdoor installation environments. A built-in temperature sensor automatically shuts down the system when the enclosure reaches 70°C, providing an added layer of protection for PV arrays and associated equipment.

For ease of installation, the unit features handy slide-out mounting plates on both sides of the rear lid, allowing quick and straightforward surface mounting. The device also includes a waterproof vent valve to help reduce condensation inside the enclosure, supporting long-term reliability in changing environmental conditions.

The PVADD04X model is suitable for 2 strings and provides a practical safety solution for installers looking to add automatic PV disconnection to solar systems where accessible, reliable and robust isolation is required.
