The BYD Battery Box Premium HVM+ 2.76kWh Lithium Battery is the modular building block in BYD’s high-voltage HVM+ storage platform, designed for installers who need flexible, scalable energy storage with robust safety and long service life. Each 2.76 kWh module is stacked in series within a Battery-Box HVM+ tower to create usable system capacities from 8.28 kWh up to 22.08 kWh per tower, and up to 66.2 kWh with three towers in parallel.

Using proven Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cell technology, the HVM+ 2.76 kWh module offers excellent thermal and cycle stability, making it a strong choice for both on-grid and off-grid applications. The system delivers high round-trip efficiency (≥95%), helping maximise usable energy from every charge/discharge cycle and supporting better overall system ROI.
In a complete HVM+ stack, the modules share a max continuous charge/discharge current of 50 A and 80 A peak (15 s), providing plenty of power for modern hybrid inverters and backup applications. The module operates across a wide temperature range of –10°C to +50°C, with automatic derating in colder conditions, making it suitable for typical UK and EU plant rooms, garages and technical spaces.
The HVM+ platform is designed with installers in mind. A patented internal plug connection and floor-standing, modular design make on-site assembly and wiring quick and repeatable, while the built-in balancing optimiser and “extend anytime at any state of charge” capability simplify future upgrades. Systems communicate via CAN / RS485, and support remote diagnosis and OTA (over-the-air) updates, giving both installers and end users better visibility and easier long-term maintenance.
Rated to IP55, the Battery-Box HVM+ system is suitable for indoor and sheltered outdoor installation up to 3,000 m altitude, and is certified to VDE 2510-50, IEC 62619, CE, UKCA and UN38.3, covering both safety and transport requirements. BYD backs the range with a 10-year warranty, underlining its focus on long-term reliability in residential and light commercial storage projects.
