The Dyness PowerDepot G2 5.12kWh Lithium Battery is a low-voltage residential energy storage solution designed for reliable, scalable home battery installations. Built with LiFePO₄ battery technology, it provides a nominal energy capacity of 5.12kWh per unit and can be expanded by connecting up to 50 modules in parallel, giving a total capacity range from 5.12kWh up to 256kWh where supported by the system design.
Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the PowerDepot G2 features an IP66 protection rating, helping protect the battery against demanding environmental conditions. Its compact form factor and flexible installation options allow it to be wall-mounted or floor-mounted, making it suitable for a wide range of residential storage applications where space and installation practicality are important.
Safety is a key focus of the PowerDepot G2. The datasheet highlights an integrated aerosol fire extinguishing system, designed to detect and extinguish fire risk quickly, alongside LiFePO₄ chemistry, which is widely used in stationary energy storage for its stability and cycle life. The battery is rated for more than 8000 cycles or 10 years under the datasheet test conditions, with a depth of discharge of 95%.
For performance, the battery operates at a nominal voltage of 51.2V with a 100Ah capacity. It has an operating voltage range of 44.8V to 57.6V, a recommended charge/discharge current of 50A and maximum charge/discharge current ratings of 75A charge and 100A discharge. Peak discharge current is listed as 200A for 2 minutes, supporting short bursts of higher demand where the inverter and system design allow.
The PowerDepot G2 also includes useful monitoring and integration features, including built-in WiFi with app OTA support and CAN/RS485 communication. The datasheet lists compatibility with a range of inverter brands, including SMA, Schneider, Victron Energy, Ingeteam, Solis, GoodWe, Growatt, Solplanet, Luxpower, DEYE and Apsystem, subject to correct system configuration and compatibility checks.
