The Fronius Smart Meter is a bi-directional energy meter for feed-in management and energy consumption monitoring in grid-tied PV systems. It supports Modbus RTU communication and self-supplied operation, making it suitable for metering and control tasks where accurate import and export measurement is required.

Bi-directional energy meter with ±0.5% accuracy, Modbus RTU (RS 485) interface, self-supplied power, and a 166 V to 276 V line-to-line operating range. Rated for 50 Hz to 60 Hz operation. The unit uses Euroblock style pluggable terminal blocks (12 AWG / 2.5 mm²), has a self-consumption of 1.2 W at 60 Hz, and is specified for indoor wall mounting or outdoor installation within a NEMA 3R/4 or IP66 enclosure.
