The SolarEdge S500 Power Optimizer brings module-level power optimisation to residential PV systems, delivering increased energy yield and enhanced system safety. Designed to work seamlessly with SolarEdge single-phase and three-phase inverters, the S500 helps to reduce mismatch losses due to shading, soiling, or uneven panel ageing—maximising the return on every module.

With a rated input power of 500W (increased to 550W for installations after April 2024), the SolarEdge S500 Power Optimizer offers an impressive 99.5% peak efficiency and 98.6% weighted efficiency. It's compatible with modern high-power and bifacial modules, and supports a wide MPPT operating range of 12.5–105V, helping to adapt to various rooftop conditions.
Enhanced Safety Features
Installer and system safety is built-in. The S500 enables automatic module-level shutdown for maintenance and emergencies, while detecting abnormal connector behaviour to help prevent potential fire risks. This makes it ideal for residential rooftops where safety regulations are a top priority.
