Kit Components

  • Wall Bracket (P/N 1738120-xx-y): Anchors the stacked units securely to the wall.
  • Mounting Bracket Shims (P/N 1983307-xx-y, Qty 4): Adjust for wall irregularities, ensuring proper alignment.
  • Torx T40 Mounting Bracket Bolts (P/N 1978075-xx-y, Qty 4): Secure the wall bracket to the mounting surface.
  • Fir-Tree Plugs (P/N 1978071-xx-y, Qty 6): Seal unused fastener holes to maintain the enclosure's ingress protection rating.
  • Fan Front Cover (P/N 1978068-xx-y): Ensures adequate airflow between closely stacked units, preventing thermal derating.

     

Installation Guidelines

  • Stacking Configuration: Supports ground-mounted stacking of up to three Expansion modules.
  • Mounting Requirements: Must be installed on a level surface with a slope not exceeding 1¼ inches (32 mm) over the footprint area. The Powerwall 3 unit should always be positioned at the front of the stack .
  • Ingress Protection: The use of fir-tree plugs and the fan front cover maintains the system's IP55/IP67 ingress protection ratings, safeguarding against environmental factors.

     

Note: This kit is intended for ground-mounted stacking configurations. For wall-mounted installations, refer to the Tesla Powerwall 3 Wall-Mount Expansion Kit.
