Battery balancer for series-connected 12V batteries in 24V and 48V battery banks. It equalises state of charge between battery legs to reduce imbalance during charging.
Balances two series-connected 12V batteries, or multiple parallel strings of series-connected batteries, to help equalise charge levels.
Suitable for 24V battery systems and 48V battery banks; multiple balancers can be used in larger banks.
Starts balancing when midpoint deviation exceeds 50 mV, with LED indication at higher deviation levels and alarm at 200 mV.
Includes a normally open 60V / 1A alarm relay for external signalling when the alarm condition is reached.
Features over-temperature protection, IP22 enclosure and an operating temperature range of -30 to +50°C.

Install on a well-ventilated vertical surface close to the batteries, but not above them due to possible corrosive gases. Use at least 0.75 mm² for negative, positive and midpoint connections. In series-parallel connections, midpoint interconnecting cables must be sized to carry the current that can occur if one battery becomes open-circuited. If required for UL compliance, fuse these wires near the batteries with a 10A DC fuse.
Helps address state-of-charge imbalance that can shorten battery service life. Better and regular charging may resolve systematic undercharge issues in older battery banks.
